2016 Archive – Abstract Submission and Presentation Guidelines

Abstract submissions for symposia, open papers, and posters are open from 1st of February 2016 to 6th of March 2016. All abstracts must be written in English. The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts submitted and notice for acceptance will be send to the first author via e-mail by April 2016. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program.

Symposia

Symposia group 4 to 6 papers around a common theme and are organized by a convener. Each symposium will be scheduled for 120 minutes and conveners are free to program the content of the symposium within this allotted time. Conveners should make sure that all presentations are installed 15 minutes before the start of the symposium. To submit a proposal for a symposium, the convener is asked to provide the following information:

  • Title of the proposed symposium
  • Name and affiliation of convener of the proposed symposium
  • Abstract of the proposed symposium: a general description of the overall symposium (500 – 750 words).
  • Abstracts of the papers included in the proposed symposium: a concise and clear description of objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of each paper (with a maximum of 300 words per talk). Each abstract should be preceded by the title of the paper and name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s).
  • Please indicate separately for each paper included in the proposed symposium if you want it to be considered as a poster submission in case the proposed symposium is not accepted.

Open Papers

Open papers are individual presentations and will be included in an open papers session of six presentations. Each open paper will be allocated 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.  Presenters are kindly asked to respect the allotted time and to make sure that their presentation is installed 15 minutes before the start of the session. To submit a proposal for an open paper, the (first) author is asked to provide the following information:

  • Title of the proposed open paper
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)
  • Abstract of the proposed open paper: a concise and clear description of its objectives, methods, results, and conclusions (with a maximum of 300 words).
  • Please indicate if you want the proposed open paper to be considered as a poster submission in case it is not accepted as an open paper.

To submit a proposal for a symposium, please fill out this form before March 7, 2016.

Posters

Posters will be included in one of the three poster sessions. To submit a proposal for a poster, the (first) author is asked to provide the following information:

  • Title of the proposed poster
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)
  • Abstract of the proposed poster: a concise and clear description of objectives, methods, results, and conclusions (with a maximum of 300 words).

Note that the poster boards are sized 150 cm x 120 cm.
