Please note that if your abstract does not fully meet the guidelines, it will automatically be discarded without further notice

Abstract submissions for symposia, open papers, and posters will be open soon. All abstracts must be written in English. The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts submitted and notice for acceptance will be sent to the corresponding author in March (15th – 25th) 2022. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program.

GENERAL CRITERIA

  • Abstracts will only be accepted in English.
  • At least one author must be registered in the Congress by May, 10th to 25th.
  • A person can be presenting author for a maximum of two abstracts.
  • No abstract alteration can be made after Submission Deadline Spanish timeline (UTC/GMT +1)
  • An e-mail address is compulsory in order to receive information about the submitted abstract.
  • In submitting the abstract, the author also grants the Consortium of European Research on Emotion the right to publish abstracts in hard or electronic forms.
  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; accepted abstracts will be reproduced as submitted, including possible errors.
  • The author/s shall indicate the presentation format (open paper or poster) of the submitted abstract. However, the Scientific Committee will decide over the final format.
  • Abstract acceptance or rejection will be notified by e-mail in March (15th – 25th) 2022 Presentation criteria and other details will also be sent in that notification.
  • All the abstracts presented must be defended during the congress in order to obtain the certificate of abstract presentation.
  • The abstract will be submitted under the complete acceptance of all these criteria. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract, if it does not meet these criteria.

1. ABSTRACT STRUCTURE

Symposia

Symposia group 4 to 6 papers around a common theme and are organized by a convener. Each symposium will be scheduled for 120 minutes and conveners are free to program the contents of the symposium within this time limit. Conveners should make sure that all presentations are installed at least 15 minutes before the start of the symposium. To submit a proposal for a symposium, the convener is asked to provide the following information:

  • Title of the proposed symposium: concise, 15 words maximum in sentence case (not in capital or lowercase letters only). Please use only recognizable abbreviations.
  • Name and affiliation of convener of the proposed symposium. Full names and surnames of all authors, as well as other data requested during the submission process. Affiliation details must be included correctly, respecting the following format: Degree (BSc, MSc, MD, PhD). Department. Institution. Country. (Please separate with dots, not with comas or hyphens). Example: PhD student. Mind, brain and Behaviour Centre. University of Granada. Spain.
  • Abstract of the proposed symposium: a general description of the overall symposium (500 – 750 words)
  • Abstracts of the papers included in the proposed symposium: a concise and clear description of objectives, methods, results and conclusions of each paper (with a maximum of 300 words per speech). The title of the paper as well as name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) must be provided for each abstract included in the symposium
  • Please indicate for each paper included in the proposed symposium if you want it to be considered for a poster or open paper in case the proposed symposium is not accepted

Open Papers

Open papers are individual presentations and will be included in an open session of up to 6 papers. Each open paper will be allocated 15 minutes for presentation (including questions). Presenters are kindly asked to respect the allotted time and to make sure that their presentation is installed 15 minutes before the start of the session. To submit a proposal for an open paper, the corresponding author is asked to providence the following information:

  • Title of the proposed open paper concise, 15 words maximum in sentence case (not in capital or lowercase letters only). Please use only recognizable abbreviations.
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) Affiliation details must be included correctly, respecting the following format: Degree (BSc, MSc, MD, PhD). Department. Institution. Country. (Please separate with dots, not with commas or hyphens). Example: PhD student. Mind, brain and Behaviour Centre. University of Granada. Spain.
  • Abstract of the proposed open paper: a concise and clear description of its objectives, methods, results, and conclusions (with a maximum of 300 words).
  • Please indicate if you want the proposed open paper to be considered as a poster submission in case it is not accepted as an open paper.

Posters

Posters will be included in one of two poster sessions. To submit a proposal for a poster, the corresponding author is asked to provide the following information:

  • Title of the proposed poster concise, 15 words maximum in sentence case (not in capital or lower case letters only). Please use only recognizable abbreviations.
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) Affiliation details must be included correctly, respecting the following format: Degree (BSc, MSc, MD, PhD). Department. Institution. Country. (Please separate with dots, not with comas or hyphens). Example: PhD student. Mind, brain and Behaviour Centre. University of Granada. Spain.
  • Abstract of the proposed poster: a concise and clear description of goals, methods, results, and conclusions (with a maximum of 300 words).
  • Please indicate if you want the proposed poster to be considered as an open paper submission in case it is not accepted as a poster

2. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

All abstracts shall be submitted through the online form on the congress website, according to the above-mentioned criteria.

3. PRESENTATION FORMAT

SYMPOSIA:

  1. Time slot 120 minutes
  2. Conveners will program the contents within this time limit
  3. All presentations must be installed 15 minutes before the start of the symposium
  4. PPT presentations must be elaborated using the official templates

OPEN PAPER:

  1. 15 minutes for presentation (including questions)
  2. All presentations must be installed 15 minutes before the start of the symposium
  3. PPT presentations must be elaborated using the official templates

POSTER

  1. Presentation: A printed Poster Exhibition Area will be arranged from the first day of the congress. The use of the official poster template is mandatory.
  2. Poster dimensions must be: 120 cm (47,25 inch) tall x 80 cm (31,5 inch) wide. These specifications shall be followed carefully.
  3. We will provide hanging material to hang your posters to your designated board. All poster boards will be numbered and set up in the rooms ready for you to hang your poster on
